The Constitution - Our rights are laid out quite clearly in the US and Georgia state Constitutions. Per the US Constitution, only certain powers are granted to the federal government the rest of the powers are left up to state jurisdictions. We have been experiencing a vast overreach by the federal government due to an imposed State of Emergency that seems to be never ending. At what point will states be able to return to normal. It is the same with Georgia's state constitution. Our rights are clearly laid out in this document. However, if the state imposes another "emergency" it would undoubtedly throw Georgia into another disruption of businesses, schools and everyday life. These constitutions were never meant to be suspended under any circumstances.

Human Trafficking - It is modern day slavery and must be addressed as such, with a concerted effort to educate society, identify the perpetrators and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. According to Human Trafficking Unveiled, Atlanta was named by the FBI as one of 14 US cities with the highest rate of children used in prostitution. Removing Atlanta and all Georgia cities from such lists will be a top priority.

The 2nd Amendment - The right to keep and bear arms is essential to keeping Georgia a free state. JFK thought it unlikely that fears of government tyranny would be a danger to our nation. Today those fears are becoming a reality in many communities and Georgia must not be one of them. The right to bear arms "shall not be infringed".

Education NOT Indoctrination - Efforts to indoctrinate our children in political ideologies are on the rise. Critical Race Theory, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Social Emotional Learning and others are designed to move our children away from critical thinking and toward anti-American behavior and thought. This must not be allowed to take root in this state.

Keep Georgia's Economy Strong - Small businesses, the backbone of our nation’s and Georgia’s economy, were most impacted by the Covid-19 mandates. The lockdowns put undue burden on small businesses by mandating expensive non-scientific safety protocols and by allowing large chain stores to remain open without restriction. If you need to work to feed your family, you and your business are essential. As Governor, Catherine will ensure efforts must be made to protect small businesses in Georgia from the political whims of politicians.

Immigration - Like most Georgians, I welcome legal and sustainable immigration that benefits our nation and state. I also recognize that illegal immigration is an affront to our rule of law and to the immigrants who joined the American family lawfully. According to the federal government (1), Georgia is home to more illegal aliens than Arizona. Since 2006, the state legislature has put many laws in place to deter illegal immigration - which is largely caused by illegal employment. Many of these laws - designed to keep jobs, benefits and services away from illegals and to find and report criminal illegals - are not being enforced as Georgia families are needlessly suffering because of crimes committed by criminal aliens. Georgia’s chief executive should be laser focused on enforcement of all of our laws.
